Generation is read from position: the founding couple sit in the centre disc, and each ring outward is one generation further down. Colour on a wedge is that person\u2019s country \u2014 tinted a little lighter on each ring so the bands stay legible. Counts are blood descendants only.
Reading the chart
The name on each wedge is the blood descendant. The line beneath it, m. Name, is their spouse.
Dorairaj's nine children run oldest to youngest, clockwise from the top — Rammohan first, Giri last. Siblings in later generations have no recorded order yet, so they sit alphabetically.
Wedge width follows the size of a branch, not seniority. A dagger † marks someone who has passed away; wedges too narrow for text keep their names in the hover card.
